Phone calls
Phone calls to doctors for paperwork and other requests need to be booked to minimise disruption to other patients. If the request is more urgent, Lawson Medical Practice administration team will triage the call. It may be necessary for administration staff to identify further details regarding the caller’s situation in order to determine the appropriate course of action.

Electronic communication
Clinical requests and enquiries should be discussed by phone and not emailed to reception.
Email is not continuously monitored and requests sent by email will not be prioritised.
Email is not a secure form of communication. Our preference is for confidential information to be sent via secure messaging. Our Healthlink address is “lawsonmp”

SMS for recalls and reminders
The practice uses SMS communications through HotDoc for patient reminders and recalls. If you wish to opt out of SMS reminders and recalls, please inform our reception staff.

Safe and respectful environment
At our practice, we are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for everyone. Our staff are legally entitled to a psychologically safe workplace, free from manipulative, rude, or abusive language and behavior.

We will not tolerate any form of disrespectful or inappropriate conduct towards our team. Patients who engage in such behaviour will be asked to leave the premises and will be discharged from our care.
