Welcome To Lawson Medical Practice

Lawson Medical Practice was established in 2009 in the beautiful surrounds of the Blue Mountains.

We offer primary care health services to patients in the mid and upper Blue Mountains with General Practitioners, Registered Nurses and onsite pathology. Cardiology, renal and audiology services are also available.

Lawson Medical Practice is a QPA Accredited Medical Practice.

About us

Our Practice

We are committed to training the next generation of high quality health care professionals for the Mountains. Lawson Medical Practice is affiliated with RACGP and Western Sydney University as a teaching practice and we host General Practice registrars as well as medical and nursing students. Registrars are fully qualified doctors who have completed their hospital training and are undergoing further advanced specialty training in the field of General Practice under the mentorship of  Specialist GPs in the practice.

Dr Catherine Harman

MBBS (Hons), FRACGP, Dip Child Health, BA

Practice Principal

Dr Catherine Harman graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000 and worked in the hospital system before moving to Primary Care in 2007. She has interests in older people’s health, children’s health and medical education.

Dr Jessica Patton

MBBS, FRACGP, BAppliedSc

 

 

Dr Jessica Patton completed her postgraduate medical degree in 2015 and commenced GP training in 2021, after gaining experience in hospitals in both Victoria and NSW. She has a particular interest in paediatrics, women’s health and preventive care, but enjoys the whole spectrum of General Practice.

Dr Grace Chen

Dr Chen started the Practice in 2009 and has an interest in women’s and children’s health, minor skin cancer surgery and medical education.

Dr Chris Ganora

MBBS, BMedSci, MPH, FRACGP

 

Dr Chris Ganora graduated from the University of Sydney in 2005, and has diverse experience across both clinical and non-clinical roles, within numerous communities. He has a passion for palliative care and innovating within local health systems. 

Availability: Dr Ganora provides intermittent locum cover for Lawson Medical Practice.

Dr Nikita Naidu

Doctor of Medicine (MD), Masters of Public Health (MPH), Bachelor of Applied Science

Dr Naidu is an empathetic and approachable GP registrar who enjoys the full breadth of general practice. She has a special interest in skin health and minor procedures. Dr Naidu is committed to providing high-quality and patient-centred care. She completed her junior doctor training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, followed by training roles in Surgery and Dermatology.

NEPHROLOGIST

Dr Raymond Lin

MBBS (Hons), BOptom (Hons), FRACP

Dr Raymond Lin graduated from the University of Sydney and completed his Nephrology training through Concord, John Hunter and Westmead Hospitals. He is a Staff Specialist Nephrologist within Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District and an Honorary Medical Officer at Westmead Hospital. He is also a Clinical Lecturer for the University of Sydney School of Medicine.

He is experienced in the management of patients with chronic kidney disease, dialysis and kidney transplantation, kidney stones, and electrolyte disorders. He has a special interest in renal metabolic bone disease and calcium-phosphate disorders.

Dr Cuneyt Ada

 
 

Dr Cuneyt Ada is now offering cardiology services at Lawson Medical Practice including cardiologist clinic, echocardiography, holter monitors and ECG reporting.

AUDIOLOGIST

Khalil Gareeboo

Khalil Gareeboo is an accredited clinical audiologist who specialises in adult diagnostic audiology and rehabilitation, wax removal and tinnitus management with a focus on client-centred care. He has recently completed a Diploma of Counselling. He is  offering audiology services at Lawson Medical Centre and home visit appointments including hearing tests, wax removal and tinnitus counselling.

CARDIOLOGIST

Dr John Ramachandran

Dr Ramachandran has a keen interest in all aspects of general cardiology including the investigation and treatment of chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and primary prevention. Dr Ramachandran’s subspecialty interests involve complex valvular pathology and congenital cardiology and is currently undertaking a Masters of Philosphy in congenital cardiology with a focus on cardiac MRI. He has a strong commitment to teaching and is actively involved in the mentoring of medical students, basic physician trainees and advanced trainees in cardiology.

Ms Gretchen Aman

Bachelor of Nursing (Flinders). Gretchen has an interest in women’s and children’s health and diabetes and has undertaken further training in these areas. Gretchen performs cervical screening, iron injections and venesections.

Chloe runs an adult vaccination clinic on Tuesday afternoons as well as assisting patients with chronic disease management planning.

Australian Clinical Labs

Australian Clinical Labs offer on site pathology collection 6 days per week. Monday to Friday 8am-1pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm.
