Welcome To Lawson Medical Practice

Lawson Medical Practice was established in 2009 in the beautiful surrounds of the Blue Mountains.

We offer primary care health services to patients in the mid and upper Blue Mountains with General Practitioners, Registered Nurses and onsite pathology. Cardiology services are also available.

Lawson Medical Practice is a QPA Accredited Medical Practice.

Our Practice

We are committed to training the next generation of high quality health care professionals for the Mountains. Lawson Medical Practice is affiliated with RACGP and Western Sydney University as a teaching practice and we host General Practice registrars as well as medical and nursing students. Registrars are fully qualified doctors who have completed their hospital training and are undergoing further advanced specialty training in the field of General Practice under the mentorship of  Specialist GPs in the practice.

Dr Marsham has an interest in weight management, palliative care, skin cancer management, menopause, diabetes, cardiovascular health, chronic disease management, child & adolescent health, aged care and work cover.

Dr Catherine Harman graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000 and worked in the hospital system before moving to Primary Care in 2007. She has interests in older people’s health, children’s health and medical education.

Dr Mier Marges has practiced as a clinical doctor across Europe, Africa and Australia for the last 23 years. She has a rich surgical experience, has worked in gynaecology, obstetrics and sexual health and has spent years in rural Africa as an all-round doctor. She has a special interest in skin excisions, mental health, addictions and LGBTQI health. She is passionate about supporting people to live a healthy lifestyle.

Dr Jessica Patton completed her postgraduate medical degree in 2015 and commenced GP training in 2021, after gaining experience in hospitals in both Victoria and NSW. She has a particular interest in paediatrics, women’s health and preventive care, but enjoys the whole spectrum of General Practice.

Dr Chen started the Practice in 2009 and has an interest in women’s and children’s health, minor skin cancer surgery and medical education.

Dr Kate Baker studied medicine at the University of Newcastle. She has completed additional qualifications in paediatric medicine, achieving a Diploma of Child Health. Kate sees all patients, from young to old, for acute and chronic illness, with particular interests in women’s and children’s health, and antenatal care. She practices in a holistic manner to approach health and wellness.

Dr Cuneyt Ada is now offering cardiology services at Lawson Medical Practice including cardiologist clinic, echocardiography, holter monitors and ECG reporting.

Dr Raymond Lin graduated from the University of Sydney and completed his Nephrology training through Concord, John Hunter and Westmead Hospitals. He is a Staff Specialist Nephrologist within Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District and an Honorary Medical Officer at Westmead Hospital. He is also a Clinical Lecturer for the University of Sydney School of Medicine.

He is experienced in the management of patients with chronic kidney disease, dialysis and kidney transplantation, kidney stones, and electrolyte disorders. He has a special interest in renal metabolic bone disease and calcium-phosphate disorders.

Dr Jon Larach is passionate about providing evidence-based interventions to improve long-term outcomes.

His special interests include musculoskeletal medicine, sports injuries, paediatrics, lifestyle medicine and chronic disease management.

This doctor does not prescribe opioids on the first consultation.

Dr Elizabeth Griffiths

Dr Elizabeth Griffiths is a GP registrar who moved from New Zealand to study medicine at the University of Sydney. She graduated in 2016 and began GP training in 2022, after obtaining hospital experience with a focus on paediatrics and emergency medicine.  She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has special interests in antenatal/ postnatal care, women’s health and paediatrics.

Bachelor of Nursing (Flinders). Gretchen has an interest in women’s and children’s health and diabetes and has undertaken further training in these areas. Gretchen performs cervical screening.

Australian Clinical Labs

Australian Clinical Labs offer on site pathology collection 6 days per week. Monday to Friday 8am-1pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm.
